Life these days, A poem written by Jennifer Kay Simmons
If you scratch an itch
A sore gets bigger.
Drowned in debt;
smoke in the wind.
Worn out mothers,
pulling two nighters.
Throw pennies at windows,
to get open doors.
Two dudes in a corner
passing a lighter.
Snatches matches
,
the fire lights the bowl
If you talk in your sleep ,
do not go to bed.
chaos is brewing;
demons in souls.
